Cedarbrook's Cedar Raised Bed Garden Boxes are made from 2'x6' boards with notched ends and aluminum rods to hold corner joints together pre-drilled aluminum bars to hold wall joint sections together on the larger boxes. A variety of sizes are available. We can customize as well!

- Can you make custom sizes?? You betcha - it's Cedarbrooks specialty. Email us your size(s) for a delivered quote.
- Do I need tools and is assembly easy??? No tools or cutting are involved maybe a hammer to drive the aluminum pins in the ground. Note you may want to level the ground first before setting up your raised bed.
- Can the raised bed be set up on an existing lawn? Yessiree put layers of newspaper or cardboard down firstgreen idea and biodegradable along with grass which will compost
- How deep should I make my bed?? 11" to 16 1/2" deep will handle various types of veggies. You can add height to existing beds in future years.
- What are beds made of and how long will they last? Our beds are build from to most rot resistant cedar available per the Cedar Association. This "Western red" is widely used for many exterior applications: shakes and shingles, siding, decking, fencing, planters and furniture. In low and medium risk areas one can expect 30-40 year life. In the humid Southeastern USA you can expect a somewhat shorter life.
- Do I need to treat the cedar?? Not really but if you take the effort use a natural rot-resistant product that is safe for use in gardens.
- Can I make a cold frame or add shade cloth to my Cedarbrook raised bed?? Absolutely use 1/2 PVC and bend over the aluminum pins. It's easy.
- Are raised beds portable or movable? Yes pull the pins(preferably when bed has dried out a bit) and they'll come apart easily.
