Our sauna benches are made of beautiful clear Western Red Cedar with blonde, pink, red and chocolate colors

9Ft Cedar Sauna Bench features

  • Made of 100% Western Red Cedar!
  • Bottom-screwed with NO exposed fasteners
  • 2×2″ cedar runs the length of the bench
  • Faced with 5/4×4″ cedar and framed with 2×3″ cedar
  • Dimensions: 18″ wide (optional) × 9 feet long with STANDARD ends — you’ll cut to size

REGARDING SELECT CEDAR GRADE: Occasionally, we see dime-sized knots or less. We try our best to use only the cleanest clear cedar wood.

NOTE: 2×2″ lumber actually measures 1½ x 1½″. Bench facing and backrests are NOT included. See options below to add facing and back rests

All 8 to 12 FT Benches are shipped on a pallet laying down. At that point, it’s best to order 2 or more benches to save on crating and shipping. Thanks!

    "Fixed Legs" option does allow adding facing to the bench legs. It's NOT possible with "Hot Yoga Style Ledges"

    Will your LOW bench partially fit under your HIGH bench? (especially true in a small saunas)... If so, we'll build the HIGH bench legs so they overlap the LOW Bench: 2-6″

    STANDARD ends can be cut to length at your site

    • Cut to your bench to your perfect length (< 9′ )
    • We recommend cutting 1/8ths of an inch so your bench drops in without scraping your sauna walls
    • You MUST cut to length on-site. We don’t do this

    FINISHED ends are wrapped and mitered with 5/4×4″ cedar

    Most customers prefer our standard ends. However, if you have a glass front wall, you'll see the end grain of the bench. Finished ends create that "finished designer" look

    Benches have a STANDARD end (cuttable) OR a FINISHED end (wrapped in fascia board)

    If able to view your bench end, you may want it FINISHED — especially if you have a glass front wall

    We use 5/4 x 4″ clear cedar facia board on the bench front and finished ends

    For the STANDARD ends, the last support strut of the frame is removable, so you can easily cut the bench. See the FAQ below: How to cut our benches?

    How to cut our benches?

    Cutting the STANDARD bench end 

    • Turn the bench to access screws on the under side
    • Remove the end strut by removing the end screw and several in the middle
    • Cut the bench to your length. If your bench is to be placed between sauna walls, we recommend cutting 1/8″ more than your span. This way your bench drops in without scraping your sauna walls
    • Return the strut to its new position and reattach. Predrilling is NOT necessary with soft cedar wood

    We recess the bench legs 3/4" so that the facing can be attached and will NOT protrude further than the front edge of the seat
