Our cedar sauna doors are made from 100% Western Red Cedar

Cedar is a softer wood, so please have your installer be very careful. It’s great for human skin but not for tools on a hip belt

And we have extended expertise in fitting you with the right steam door or shower door for your steam room or shower enclosure

Why do we use Cedar for our Sauna Doors?

Sauna doors are not all made the same. Consider a few factors:

  1. We build a sturdy door that keeps the heat inside
  2. Resistant against temperature changes
  3. For Safety, our sauna doors always open out and self-close to keep the heat
  4. Cedar is highly resistant to mold  and rot

Cedar Sauna Doors | Clad with Tongue & Groove (T&G) Cedar with a Small Window

Our traditional sauna door holds the good heat — framed, insulated and clad with cedar

Cedar Sauna Door Features:
  • Internal door framed in 1 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ rough cedar — see image at right
  • Insulated with formaldehyde-free insulation
  • Interior side has a layer of sauna foil vapor barrier
  • Clad with 3/4″ western red cedar (1×3″, 1×4″ or 1×6″ material)
  • Pre-hung in your custom cedar jamb (up to 51/4″ included in price) using 5/4″ cedar material
  • Offered with window sizes: 13×13″, 10×18″ and 15×24″ or none
  • All glass is tempered
Framed and pre-hung for these common rough opening (RO) sizes:  Actual door is 2″ narrower and 11/2″ shorter than the RO, rough opening. NO THRESHOLD included or needed

Cedar Sauna Doors | Rails & Stiles type with Large Window

Our Cedar Rail & Stile Sauna Door sauna door allows more light and visibility.

Sauna Door Features:
  • Pre-hung in your custom cedar jamb (up to 51/4″ included in price) using 5/4″ cedar material
  • Rails and stiles are made with 2×4″ epic clear western red cedar
  • Glass window is 16×67″ double-paned sealed tempered window / secured with ¾″ stops — see glass finish options
  • Offered with window sizes: 13×13″, 10×18″ and 15×24″ or none
  • Includes one self-closing hinge, two standard hinges and one door handle
  • Available in many glass finishes. All glass is tempered

All Glass Sauna Doors with a Custom Cedar Jamb

EL-10 All Glass Sauna Door

An All Glass Sauna Door allows the most light and visibility and with many glass finishes available

Best used in an indoor sauna site. Note, glass is also a heat sink. When used in combo with an all glass front wall, you’ll need to upgrade your heater output Sauna Door Features:
  • Standard glass is 3/8ths ″ thick; 1/2″ also available (much heavier means 32″ max width)
  • Clear is the standard; Many glass finishes available
  • Back to back D-handle included / 6″ on center
  • Includes one self-closing hinge, two standard hinges and one door handle
  • Unless local, these doors are NOT pre-hung. You must hang on site!
  • NO THRESHOLD included or needed
