Install our 5×6′ Sauna Materials Package (SMP) in New Construction
PART I: Line the interior of an existing room (i.e., studded walls, insulation and wiring)
IN THIS VIDEO
Our experienced sauna installers:
- Install our 5×6′ Sauna Materials Package (SMP) in New Construction
- Sort the cedar for color and best quality
- Affix the sauna foil vapor barrier
- Affix cedar tongue & groove (T&G) paneling to the walls and ceiling
- Set the sauna heater base
NOTE: This room already had drywall – it’s NOT required, but if there’s also NO need to remove it either … unless you want an extra inch. Walls MUST be insulated to contain heat in a sauna!
PART II: Add Benches, Trim, All-Glass Sauna Door, Bench Facing and Duckboard Flooring

- Install the bench legs and benches
- Tack floor trim before setting the bench tops, 1×2″ ceiling and 1×1″ corner trim
- Install an All-Glass Sauna Door
- Bench Facing and
- Duckboard Flooring
