Do we use foil tape to seal the overlap? No. We simply staple our foil to the studs, then shoot 18g stainless steel nails thru the tongues of the cedar. This makes for a nice tight fit. Note: Some sauna purists, like to add ³/₄″ spacers over the foil and the cedar liner boards. This allows for both reflective and conductive insulation and heat moves freely behind the cedar paneling, but of course reduces the size of the sauna
