Your window should be heat-tempered as saunas can easily get over 190°F

We offer cedar trim and jamb material:

  • 1×3″ window trim for interior / exterior
  • 3/4″ material as variable jamb material

    It's worth mentioning that we are NOT going to deduct T&G cedar planks from your sauna cut list. So you'll have some extra cedar pieces equal to the width x length of your window. We don't do that because your final design may change.

    Of course it's your sauna installation, so you can put the window on any wall that works for you. Still, since we're drafting your sauna plan diagram for your approval, it's best we're all on the same page. Mostly, so that we can share design ideas with you and you build a sauna that works for your space and personal needs.

    You may not need dedicated jamb material for your site condition. In this case, the jamb will fill the area between the window's frame and the front of the cedar T&G (Tongue & Groove). Generally you want to be slightly proud of the T&G by 1/8th or 1/16th of an inch

    You may not need dedicated trim material for your existing window. Sometimes there's extra cedar flooring material (if you selected duckboard). Of course, there will be some extra material that would have covered your existing window's area. It's difficult to estimate that figure here until more details become available

A window is a great addition to our modular sauna packages or any sauna. The heat loss is minimal and they add an open feel to the sauna.
