EXPEDITE > PICK UP AT THE SHIPPING COMPANY’S TERMINAL

In all cases: Customers have the option to pick up their crate at the trucking company’s terminal
They will forklift your crate onto your vehicle:  U-haul, pickup truck (without a canopy) or onto a trailer.

This way the off-loading process can be done at your convenience and you do not wait onsite during the 2-4 hr window on delivery day

OVERSIZED ITEMS: SHIPPING ALERT IF >7FT

Larger sauna packages (>7ft) may be declared too large for the lift gate by the truck driver and require two able people to offload the materials from the back of the truck upon delivery.

If you are ordering an oversized item, please read on:

• In many cases, oversized items (especially sauna kits) may NOT safely fit on the truck’s lift gate. The safety decision regarding offloading is at the discretion of the driver at the scene. Sometimes, unloading the contents off the back of the truck by hand will be required by the customer.
• Organizing your materials is a necessary step best accomplished ASAP as common carriers only guarantee curb-side delivery. After which, it is your job to move your materials to a better location on your property. There is a 30 minute time window for delivery and the off-loading hand-carrying process.
• Consider this step a prompter to organize your cedar materials on your project site. Ideally, plan for two able-bodied workers to perform any offloading and carrying to your project site.

DELIVERY TO CERTAIN LOCATIONS

If you are requesting delivery to a rural area or dense urban center, please read:

• In some cases, trucking companies may opt-out of delivery on dirt roads, long driveways, low bridges, etc. Even deliveries to dense urban centers can result in more charges because of permitting, anticipated traffic delays or simply lack of space to maneuver.
• If you are located in rural location with limited access, the delivery may require a pick up at the nearest terminal.

ARRANGING DELIVERY WITH THE FREIGHT COMPANY

• When your order ships, you will receive a Bill of Lading document via email along with a PRO#. This number identifies your package with the carrier
• Your Bill of Lading document is emailed. We are also making preparations to upload this document to your My Account page (Customer Dashboard)
• When your create arrives at the destination terminal the carrier will contact you at the phone number you have provided.  At that time the carrier will establish a delivery window
• Coordinating a delivery day/time will be scheduled through the carrier’s destination terminal accordingly with the customer’s availability
• They will NOT deliver without a signer present at the delivery site

SPECIFIC DELIVERY CONSIDERATIONS

• Sauna Kit crates are LARGE shipments and will be delivered on trucks up to 53 ft long
• Most of them can be lifted down to the ground with a lift gate service. However, not every size crate can be lowered to the ground.  We strive to provide you with the best value in shipping your order, each carrier’s equipment varies and some packages exceed the lift gates capacity
• A curb side delivery is provided by all carriers. It is the driver’s discretion to place the crate on the street, at your driveway or in front of your house. Carriers have a 30 minute delivery window before excess charges can be applied. In most cases, this 30 minutes is enough time
• Whether the package is lowered to the ground or not, it still needs to be disassembled and moved to the site where is will be installed. This will require two able bodied people to carry the parts and pieces to your assembly site

In our 50 years of manufacturing and shipping sauna packages all over the US and internationally we have never had a shipment not reach is final destination.

Sauna doors most commonly are shipped vertically and stabilized with A-frame supports on each side

Some doors like clad sauna doors can be boxed in OSB and shipped UPS

All doors are wrapped for the weather

Yes we do ship via freight forwarders to barge line terminals in Seattle for our Alaska, Hawaii and Canadian customers

Indeed we are happy to provide this service. We will charge you a $350 fee to package and deliver your products to the terminal in Seattle and the carrier will collect the charges for their portion of the shipping from their dock to your residence. You can save even more money if you pick up your freight at the carriers destination dock!

These sites will ask what are the weight and dimensions of your pallet.
The Total weight you will see on your Shopping Cart page just above the “Proceed to Checkout” button
For dimensions, generally assume: 4ft x 4ft x Length (this will be the length of your sauna kit + 1)
Important: You will need to get your SHIP TO address (from the freight forwarder) to use during checkout
Our system will generate a quote for their address

Yes, you can order will call, pick-up yourself and save on shipping

• Currently, ONLY if your zip code is in Washington will our shopping cart offer an “In-store pick up” shipping option. This is usually free.
• If you’re in a neighboring state (and want to pick up your sauna or other items in WA), create your order as a quote first (see below) and we’ll edit the shipping amount
• If you’re near one of the sauna heater distributors, you can drive to e.g. Portland, OR and save shipping

I ordered an in or outdoor sauna kit for pick up but I am still getting charged a small fee, why?

Keep in mind, when you order a sauna kit … you’re ordering a small building! These crates are big and good deal of work goes into getting them palletized, crated, padded and tarped for the weather. So we must charge something (usually approx. $100) to expedite placing the crate on to your U-haul, truck (without a canopy or trailer).

If you are in a neighboring state (OR, CA, ID, MT), and still want to pick up in our Woodinville showroom at our Cashmere, WA production facility… you can!

You can order and pick-up yourself by doing the same basic steps as ordering online, that is:

1. Add products to your cart as normal
2. On the check out page, click “Convert Order to a Quote”.
3. In the notes field, tell us you want to pick up in Woodinville, WA or in Cashmere, WA
4. We’ll edit the quote and remove most of the shipping charge (sauna kits get a crate charge, ~$100)
